“Mr.X: 'In this Durga Puja festival of 2017, Ola or Uber
must give some discounts on rides.'
Mr. Y: 'Yes, of course! They can apply '555' discount strategy.
For any ride above 5 Kilometres, there is a Rs. 5/- cashback
on the total bill and also a promocode will be provided for
the next ride to get 5% discount in the next ride within 5 days.
Also, if during the Durga Puja festival days, a person will get
5% discount for each 5 rides (previous 4 rides + 1 current ride)
within the last 5 hours, in the last ride. For example, say,
a person travelled in Ola or Uber Cab for Rs. 100/- in each of
his 4 previous rides and in his 5th ride, his bill is again Rs. 100/-,
then in the 5th ride, he will be billed Rs. 75/- only, as he will get
5X5=25 percent discount on the total bill of the 5th ride provided
that the 5th ride is within 5 hours from the time of
his 1st ride on that festive day.'”- Arindam Sain

why are you giving only Rs. 300/- this year ?'
BABLOO: 'The amount of electricity that you guys are
hooking for the Durga Puja festival lighting, for that only,
at least, Rs. 100/- will get attached with my
electricity bill of this month because CESC
has installed area wise meters.'” - Arindam Sain

“BUSINESSMAN_A: 'Having tie-ups with several e-commerce
firms is really helping me to clear the stocks which were there
in my warehouse before the implementation of GST. These
e-commerce websites are attracting the internet users to buy
the products listed on their websites by giving huge discounts.
Even in pre-GST sale, so many products got sold online at
even 50% discount. Some payment gateway websites are
also offering cashback for making online payments
through their websites while buying any product from any
e-commerce websites. Some PSU and private banks are also
offering discounts on their Debit/Credit Cards for online shopping.'
BUSINESSMAN_B: 'Yes! You are right. Also the delivery system
of all e-commerce firms have improved a lot with a large number
of recruitment of young people and the commission system per
delivery motivate those young staffs. I should also go for a tie-up
with those e-commerce firms as I have to clear so many
pre-GST stocks before this festive season of Durga Puja and Diwali.
Thanks for giving the right idea at the right time.'”- Arindam Sain

“A SYSTEM ANALYST OF A SOFTWARE COMPANY: 'We are planning
to directly link the CIBIL server with Bancslink CBS Software
as we earlier succeeded to link the NSDL server with it.
There will be two extra radio buttons in CIF Amend
through CKYC screen. One radio button will be 'Mark as Defaulter'
and the another radio button will be 'Update PAN Card status
in CIBIL'. For example, say, a customer, Mr. X has taken a loan and
his loan account is now in 'IRAC 4' category. The Branch Manager just
need to open the CIF Amend screen and click on 'Mark as Defaulter'
radio button and on 'Update PAN Card status in CIBIL' radio button
and then press the 'Transmit' button to complete the
amendment process. Once it is done, the CBS software program
will automatically delete the linkage of AADHAAR Card number of
that Mr. X with all his savings account. Further, any funds coming
to Mr. X's account through NEFT, RTGS or IMPS will automatically
get returned or canceled. Moreover, as the AADHAAR linkage
is gone, no money from any Government Schemes will enter into
that Account and that Account may become 'Stop' or
'Inoperative' too. After repaying the loan installment and
manually changing the loan account status in 'Common Processing'
screen from 'IRAC 4' to 'IRAC 0' category, automatically,
the CIF will not remain in the 'Defaulter CIF list' in
the CBS database and the CIBIL server will also get updated
accordingly. Mr. X has to visit the branch at any cost to link
AADHAAR Card Number with his Savings Account. Point to be noted
here that if the CIF remains in the 'Defaulter CIF List', then,
AADHAAR Card Number link will not be possible at any cost.'
“A PROJECT MANAGER OF CBS OFFICE OF A NATIONALIZED BANK: 'Great
Idea ! But, to succeed in this case, a customer of any bank must have one
and only one CIF only. So, CIF De-Duplication process must get completed
for all customers. CIF of Savings Account and Loan Account must be
the same. The moment a CIF enters into the 'Defaulter CIF List', the
defaulter customer must get a message alert in his mobile number
that his AADHAAR Card is not linked anymore with his savings account
till he repays the desired amount of loan installment in his loan account.
Go ahead ! This will help the PSU Banks to do NPA recovery far better
as customers will have to visit the bank frequently rather than
Branch Managers visiting the defaulters' house so frequently.'” - Arindam Sain

“FIFA: 'To make the game of football very popular in Asian nations,
India is the gateway. Though Japan, South Korea, Iran and Saudi Arabia
have done the marketing to popularize football in Asia, but,
it is not enough. The real problem in India is the callous attitude of the
Sports Ministry towards the overall development of infrastructure in
Indian football from root level itself. Sports Ministry is too much
concerned about Cricket only, it seems. The game of football
has the potential to earn more revenues than the revenues earned
from the game of Cricket in India. Try to save the old traditional
football clubs of India from becoming bankrupt, because the
love and sentiment towards those clubs by the football fans is
ultimately going to attract more and more
spectators in the football stadiums.'
AIFF: 'Yes, we are trying our level best. We are hopeful that at least
for once, Indian football team will qualify for the World Cup Football.'
FIFA: 'Don't just try; make it happen. There is no proper planning at all.
The Hit and Trial method to experiment with Indian Football must stop.
Popularize football at junior levels in Schools by conducting
various tournaments. Select the top players of that tournament to
train and develop them further in the Government sponsored
football academy. There are lots of talented footballers in India,
but due to lack of proper guidance, training and infrastructure;
they are unable to compete well in International level. Maybe,
it will be a good idea to allow only 2 foreign players in a 11 sided squad
in any football tournament to give more space and liberty to the
domestic players to show their skills.'”- Arindam Sain

“ROYAL STRATEGIST: 'After demonetization policy, the Indian Government
has been able to get hold of many businessmen in India who were not
paying the exact amount of taxes at all. GST is just the streamlining process
to create a common umbrella to collect taxes even from the existing
loopholes of the business networks in India. But, why the Indian Taxation
System for collecting the Income Taxes from Individuals is still not so simplified ?
Under Section 80C, one can invest till 1.5 lakhs rupees, but where?'
ROYAL FINANCE MINISTER: 'PF, PPF is there for them. Even in NPS,
they can invest. There are several ELSS tax saving mutual funds with
lock-in period of minimum 3 years. Even in Banks also, one can have
Tax saving fixed deposit account for 5 years.'
ROYAL STRATEGIST: 'In each of these cases, the 'lock-in period' concept is a
real dampener to do the marketing of these tax saving products. Why the
Indian Government is not starting a Tax Saving Monthly Interest Scheme (MIS)
for a lock-in period of 5 years, where a person will be able to save the tax
and get the monthly interest too, but cannot premature
the MIS fixed amount within the next 5 years.'
ROYAL FINANCE MINISTER: 'Well, we may surely think about the
Tax Saving MIS, but, even after submitting 15G or 15H form along with
the PAN Card photocopy in the 1st week of April every year,
TDS may not be waived for this particular tax saving scheme.'” - Arindam Sain

“PROPREITOR OF A CASH CREDIT (CC) ACCOUNT OF A PSU BANK: 'I am having
around 40,000/- rupees only in coins denominations. Everyday, I am depositing
around 1000 rupees of coins denominations in this branch by making
10 packets of coins where each packet is having 100 rupees of coins
denominations only. But, it is of no use at all. The amount of coins
that I am releasing in the markets or bank branches everyday is coming back
by the evening through our customers itself. So, depositing these coins in
bank counters by making 100 rupee denominations packets is of no use at all.
Due to demonetization policy only, RBI released all these coins in the market.'
HEAD CASHIER OF A PSU BANK: 'People have a tendency to blame everything
on demonetization policy and lastly to RBI. Even you as a businessman kept all
those 10 rupee coins in a box and never gave to anyone till that point when in
newspapers and in social media, some people started spreading the rumours
that some 10 rupee coins are fake and some 10 rupee coins are original. After
hearing that rumour, everyone like you took out all those 10 rupee coins from
the box and started releasing it in the market out of fear, though, RBI declared
that all 10 rupee coins are valid. If 10 lakhs businessmen like you start releasing
the 10 rupee coins in the market, then why are you blaming on demonetization
policy and RBI. Point to be noted that at one point of time, some businessmen
used to distribute coins on a 10% commission basis. At least, that business is no
more due to huge circulation of coins in the market due to demonetization policy
and that constructive rumour on 10 rupee coins.'” - Arindam Sain

“BANGABHOOMI STATE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE_01: 'The Bangabhoomi
Government has declared to pay the pending 15% DA w.e.f 1st January 2018.
That's really a great news for us. This government is really doing a
great job despite having some financial problems.'
BANGABHOOMI STATE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE_02: 'There is nothing to get
so much excited or surprised. Everyone was aware of the fact that before
the Panchayat Election of 2018, the Bangabhoomi Government will at least
give the pending 10% DA. Well, you can say, that the pending 5% extra DA is
really an unexpected bonus. We would have been happy if the pending 15% DA
would have been effective from 1st October 2017 itself. The problem lies with
the mentality of the Bangabhoomi Government. Demanding for DA by the
State Government employees cannot be regarded as 'BARKING'. If there is
really any financial problems for Bangabhoomi Government, then how are
they providing funds to clubs and giving other funds or bicycles to school
students ? Everyone has to appreciate the fact that the State Government
Employees of any State are really the backbone or functioning units
of any State. Without motivating the State Government employees
through timely promotions and hike in salaries, a State cannot function
smoothly to progress and prosper in the long run.'”- Arindam Sain

“A TEACHER OF A STATE GOVERNMENT SCHOOL OF BANGABHOOMI: 'On
5th September, every year, students do celebrate the TEACHERS DAY, but not
with that much enthusiasm. Rather to confirm their presence in school
on TEACHERS DAY, we have to arrange sweets and snacks packets
for them. Students don't give too much respect to teachers nowadays.
Even a student don't ask a Maths teacher about
how to solve a Mathematical problem, but, they ask whether Bangabhoomi
Government has given some money in their Savings Account or not. Even their
parents start yelling at us if their child don't get any money in their Savings Account.
Sometimes, we become confused whether we are teachers or NGO workers.
In our times, only scholarship system was there and to get that scholarship money,
a student has to be a brilliant one in academics. In the name of money,
vote bank and politics, maybe, the brand image of the quality education of
Bangabhoomi is starting to lose its brand value both in national and
international educational arena.'
A TEACHER OF A REPUTED PRIVATE SCHOOL OF BANGABHOOMI: 'The scenario
is just the opposite in any private school. Here, students collect funds
among themselves to organize a feast for the teachers. I doubt how many
Government school students have heard the name of
Shri Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Nowadays, if any teacher of any
State Government school is not getting that
much respect from students, then for that, indirectly, Bangabhoomi Government's
administration is responsible. Recruitment of new teachers is not taking place
every year to reduce the deficit of the number of teachers created due to retirements
every year. As a result, the number of students per teacher is increasing to
deteriorate the study environment of any classroom. Moreover, all these
Mid-day meal and other government schemes really eat up the quality time
that could have been spent for teaching the students. All these money
schemes are diverting the minds of students towards Bank Passbooks.
They love their Bank Passbooks, not the School Textbooks. The next generation
students after 15 to 20 years down the line may not get good teachers at all
as the academic quality is deteriorating due to abolition of 'Pass-Fail' system
by taking exams. Anyway, enjoy a very
HAPPY TEACHERS DAY on 5th September 2017.'” - Arindam Sain

“ROYAL TOURISM MINISTER: 'To transform several areas of
South 24 Parganas district of Bangabhoomi into a fantastic tourist zone,
we must complete some innovative projects. The bridge on the
Hatania Duania river at Namkhana must get completed on a
fast track basis to link Bakkhali directly with Kolkata by rail road
and bus road. The construction works of the proposed
'Raichak-Kukrahati' bridge must start immediately. New Rail tracks
from Kashinagar Railway station must get extended towards
Harwood Point Lot No. 8 and then gradually it will be extended through
a rail bridge to implement rail tracks till GangaSagar via Kachuberia.
Rail tracks from Budge Budge to be connected to Diamond Harbour Station
by constructing an eco-friendly cum eco-tourism coastal railway track
through Birlapur, Burul, Falta SEZ, Nurpur and Raichak.'
ROYAL TRANSPORT MINISTER: 'Great ideas ! But, this is Bangabhoomi,
the land of politics in almost everything. Forget about all those Rail tracks
and bridges. Due to vote bank politics, the National Highway 117 (NH 117)
is becoming a lane now. In terms of tourism and transportation,
there is hardly any scope for improvement in South 24 Parganas district
of Bangabhoomi in the coming years.'”- Arindam Sain
