“A SYSTEM ANALYST OF A SOFTWARE COMPANY: 'We are planning
to directly link the CIBIL server with Bancslink CBS Software
as we earlier succeeded to link the NSDL server with it.
There will be two extra radio buttons in CIF Amend
through CKYC screen. One radio button will be 'Mark as Defaulter'
and the another radio button will be 'Update PAN Card status
in CIBIL'. For example, say, a customer, Mr. X has taken a loan and
his loan account is now in 'IRAC 4' category. The Branch Manager just
need to open the CIF Amend screen and click on 'Mark as Defaulter'
radio button and on 'Update PAN Card status in CIBIL' radio button
and then press the 'Transmit' button to complete the
amendment process. Once it is done, the CBS software program
will automatically delete the linkage of AADHAAR Card number of
that Mr. X with all his savings account. Further, any funds coming
to Mr. X's account through NEFT, RTGS or IMPS will automatically
get returned or canceled. Moreover, as the AADHAAR linkage
is gone, no money from any Government Schemes will enter into
that Account and that Account may become 'Stop' or
'Inoperative' too. After repaying the loan installment and
manually changing the loan account status in 'Common Processing'
screen from 'IRAC 4' to 'IRAC 0' category, automatically,
the CIF will not remain in the 'Defaulter CIF list' in
the CBS database and the CIBIL server will also get updated
accordingly. Mr. X has to visit the branch at any cost to link
AADHAAR Card Number with his Savings Account. Point to be noted
here that if the CIF remains in the 'Defaulter CIF List', then,
AADHAAR Card Number link will not be possible at any cost.'
“A PROJECT MANAGER OF CBS OFFICE OF A NATIONALIZED BANK: 'Great
Idea ! But, to succeed in this case, a customer of any bank must have one
and only one CIF only. So, CIF De-Duplication process must get completed
for all customers. CIF of Savings Account and Loan Account must be
the same. The moment a CIF enters into the 'Defaulter CIF List', the
defaulter customer must get a message alert in his mobile number
that his AADHAAR Card is not linked anymore with his savings account
till he repays the desired amount of loan installment in his loan account.
Go ahead ! This will help the PSU Banks to do NPA recovery far better
as customers will have to visit the bank frequently rather than
Branch Managers visiting the defaulters' house so frequently.'” - Arindam Sain
