"PATIENT:'Two days back, I felt as
if an insect was walking on the backside of my neck. I just rubbed
the spot. The very next day, there is a reddish and painful skin rash
on that spot. This rash is somewhat itchy and painful. Many people
started saying that it has happened because an acid-insect walked on
that spot.' DOCTOR:'Yes, it was a walk by a type of Rove Beetle which
has pederin in its haemolymph. This pederin is very allergic for
human skins and causes erythema, a type of reddish rash which takes
time to get cured completely. The best medicine is Chuna or
limestone. You can rub half-cut green tomato on the rash. You may use
leaves of marigold flowers. Tulsi leaves are also good for it. The
best remedy is to use ice blocks on the rash and keep the spot as
cool as possible in this summer season.'"-Arindam Sain
