"In the Budget
of 2012-13, emphasis should be given to reduce fiscal deficit by
marginal decrease in food and fertilizer subsidies. Increase prices
of liquors and alcohols. Assurances of big economic reforms should be
avoided, but some marketing can be done. Raise corporate taxes.
Overall, it should be a strict and sensible budget to recover some
funds back to the treasury to go for a populist budget
next year. This is the golden year of UPA-II, where they can really
afford to make the Indian economy strong through their strict budget,
because there are no elections within the next 6 months or so and on
the other hand, as per the economic survey results, the Indian
economy has started booming. So, Pranab Mukherjee should drive the
car by putting his one leg on the accelerator, because the car is now
running on a high quality National Highway of the futuristic economic
reforms like it happened in 1991. Best of luck to Pranab Mukherjee.
Support of SP from outside has given some relief to UPA-II after the
calculated political dramas by Mamata Banerjee."-Arindam Sain
