COMMENTS NO: YEAR/2013/672

"KING:'As per the traditional norms, Bijoya Dashami and Dussehra should be on the next day of Nabami and Navaratri respectively. But, in 2013, the date of Dussehra as per Hindu Calendar falls on 13th October 2013, but, traditionally, it should fall on 14th October 2013.' HERMIT:'Your Highness! What's in a calendar date; how you celebrate every moment of a festival, actually that matters the most. Lord Rama killed Demon Ravana. Goddess Durga killed Demon Mahishasura. We chanted Gayatri mantra for the worship of Maa Amba, Gayatri or Shakti (Goddess Durga of ancient India). Both Lord Krishna and Lord Rama used to worship Goddess Durga.' KING:'Ok! I gained enough knowledge from you about Goddess Durga. It's time to bid goodbye to Goddess Durga for the year of 2013. Wishing SUBHO BIJOYA DASHAMI and DUSSEHRA to all the INDIANS worldwide.'"-Arindam Sain
